The Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team, contributing to the development of our platform. In this role, you will work closely with the CTO and collaborate with the Head of Product to develop visually appealing and intuitive UI.

Responsibilities:

• Translate mockups into functional and visually appealing user interfaces.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using CSS, Nextjs and TypeScript to create responsive web applications.

• Implement user interactions and features using modern front-end frameworks and libraries.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.

• Optimise web applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Work closely with the CTO to integrate front-end and backend functionality.

• Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, ensuring smooth user experiences.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in front-end development.

Qualifications:

• At least 3-4 years experience in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of web development fundamentals, including JavaScript and Nextjs. You will need to be able to demonstrate these skills in an interview.

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks.

• Good understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.

• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• Portfolio to demonstrate your contribution on past projects.

• Expert knowledge of TypeScript.
